The Bags have been distributed

Many of the committee members and attendees met at the "man house" at Ken Vonderach's house on 8/28 to assemble all of the bags, shirts, CD's, translation cards, and the extra bonus for the veterans. We have a great surprise for the vet's that is going to make them very popular in the tents this year!!! CAN'T WAIT!!! Der Stinker was so excited about the schwag that he had me FED EX his stuff to him. The new jackets look great.

You think something so simple as putting one 3 shirts and a few other things in a bag would be pretty easy...NOT. Somehow we misplaced one of the jackets. Did anyone get a jacket in their bag who didn't pay for one? The jackets were extra and you would have had to send a separate check to Randy Hahn if you did purchase one. If you have an extra jacket, please let Hahn or Bloom know asap.

Check out the link for our Miss Ofest 2007 on the side. She represents all of the brains, beauty, and worldliness that our group is proud to stand for.

Preview the Schwag!!

Take a look at the great schwag of '07. We have awesome rolling suitcases to go along with the shirts and CD's and other surprise stuff! Bags are going to be ready for pickup on Wednesday. Thanks to Sharkvoice for the pictures (right out of FHM) and for Vondy for hosting the 10 of us at his house for the assembly process of the bags. We loved the Ofest beer and brats and sauerkraut that he had out for us. Never mind the smell...

Starting to lose sleep yet???

Herr Hasselhoff is already beginning to lose sleep over the impending trip. I hope that you are getting into shape prior to departure, lest you wind up on the "Hill of Shame." I have had some reports from Hawaii, Phoenix, Mexico, and the East Bay about some serious training that is being undertaken. Don't just show up on game day and expect to be in top form. You need to ensure your liver is ready for all of the golden nectar that it will enjoy.

We are assembling all of the travel bags and will have them on their way to you early next week. Expect to receive your stuff by the beginning of September. We have the best compilation of schwag ever this year. Look out for your bags...

Room assignments will also be finalized with the travel agent in the next week or so. I am confident that you will be with your buddies. If not, you will be partnered with your new buddies! Ofest has a way of helping you make new friends. Dennis Colvin already made a new friend and he is still over a month away from Ofest. We all look forward to meeting his new buddy, Helmut.

More news will continually be posted on this site, so check back regularly...

Preparations For Setting Up Ofest Are Beginning

Click the link at the bottom of the blog to follow the action...
Some of you non rookies will be amazed to see the landscape of Ofest prior to the setting up of the tents and rides. The buildings go up and then get taken down after the "Wiesn" ends. Hopefully they also clean up the Hill of Shame so you don't have to lay down in Stan's puke from last year!

Sign up to tour Munich on a bike!

We are going to organize a bike tour of Munich utilizing Mike's bike tours. See their website at http://www.mikesbiketours.com/1.html

The cost is about $40/person. It will be a good way to see munich while you are over there and to get a little culture. It is not a taxing ride, so even with the worst of hangovers, you should still be ok. I think we will depart at around 10am on Saturday morning, ride have lunch, see Munich and be back at the hotel by 3pm. I need to know how many are interested, so email Herr Hasselhoff (kbloomrhp@yahoo.com) and let me know if you are interested. You will just pay for it when you are in Munich.

PROST!

Rounding the Clubhouse Turn...

We are rounding the corner and heading for home regarding the details of our trip. Proofs are now approved for all of the schwag and some of the schwag is already in. Thanks to Dennis Colvin from Denco Inc. for handling all of this stuff for us. Randy Hahn and Dennis and I are coordinating this effort. We are finalizing the hotel details with our travel agent and with the hotel. Thanks to Joe Sanchez for helping me to coordinate the rooms. These things sound easy, but when you are doing it for 60 people, it isn't easy, believe me!

We will be sending the details to you as we get more of them. Please find details of the hotel address and phone number in the links at the bottom of the blog. Also, you can find maps of the train system and other useful links.

Let me know if you have further questions. Some things may be obvious to me, but they aren't to the rookies.

Herr Hasselhoff needs your help

Hey all,
we are coming up on the final quarter prior to the mayhem. I am dusting off my lederhosen, cleaning my shoes, pressing my Ofest shirt and getting into drinking shape.

Make sure that you send all of your info to me so that we can get all of our stuff done on time and we don't mispell your name, or get your size wrong, or get the hotels screwed up.

Once i figure out how to do this blogging thing, i will be posting info that needs to go to all on this blog. Begin using it to communicate with all of the guys...
